Wow, fifty-five of these things in and I'm just now getting to the point where I set this whole thing up. I spent the rest of my time in the library setting up a few other things. I have another, long-running blog. I've resisted monetizing because it's been kind of sacred to me and also because it just doesn't have a lot of traffic. It's one of those things I was saving for these, my latest days.
I also set up the blog you're reading this on. Well, not exactly. The first draft, RoboHoboHomo. The name was fucking fire, but I didn't think when I put it on an account linked directly with my name (hello employers googling me) and it was also the name of a t-shirt some company already made (jackasses).
In the end, I kinda like "Cold, Queer, and Broke." It requires chaning the framing and themes, but the message is the same. This is my life; imperfect, broken, and kinda lonely. Not a 'lying in the gutters and looking at the stars' kind of thing so much as a 'here is life in the gutters and the next stop is the underworld.'
So, hey, here is life in the gutters. Next stop is the underworld. That's my life and your life.
I kept this post because it exemplifies the changes that happen as you transition from having a concept to executing it. So glad I could keep the name.
